About this policy

This policy applies to the ContinuNote controlled-release service. ContinuNote helps caregivers and families organize and communicate information they choose to provide. It is not an official medical record.

Information we collect

ContinuNote may process information you intentionally provide or create, including:

• Google sign-in and account information, such as your name and email address.
• Caregiver or account profile information.
• A care-recipient identifier, your relationship to that person, and an optional recipient photo.
• Care notes and entries, including medications; meals and hydration; symptoms and observations; mood and behavior; personal care and activity; appointments and communications; completed tasks; concerns; follow-ups; and general notes.
• Photographs, images, PDFs, and other attachments you upload.
• Information extracted from uploaded documents and reviewed by you.
• Information you confirm for use in Family Updates, Caregiver Handoffs, and printable summaries.
• Basic technical and service information reasonably required to operate the application, such as device or browser type, service activity, diagnostic information, and network information.

How information is used

We may use information to provide and maintain ContinuNote; authenticate accounts; organize and display care updates; support user-requested sharing, exports, and summaries; process documents and photos; troubleshoot problems; protect the service from misuse; respond to support requests; and improve the controlled-release experience.

We do not use ContinuNote to make medical decisions for you. Users remain responsible for reviewing information before sharing it or acting on it.

AI-assisted processing

ContinuNote may use AI-assisted processing to help extract information from user-provided documents and to prepare Family Updates and Caregiver Handoffs. Extracted information is not automatically accepted into the care record. You review and confirm information before it is saved, and medical details require explicit review.

AI-generated Family Updates and Caregiver Handoffs are drafts. Review and correct them before using or sharing them. AI-assisted output may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Photos and document processing

Uploaded photographs, images, PDFs, and other attachments may be processed to extract information you provide. After you confirm extracted information, the original attachment is deleted by default unless you choose to retain it. If you retain an original, it remains available until you delete it or your account, subject to the service’s operational backup and deletion processes.

Information sharing and service providers

ContinuNote may share information when you direct the service to make information available to members of your care circle or create an export or summary for sharing.

Information may also be processed by service providers working on our behalf where needed to operate ContinuNote, such as providers supporting hosting, authentication, storage, document or AI processing, service diagnostics, and customer support. These providers are permitted to process information for the services they perform for ContinuNote, subject to applicable agreements and requirements.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or others, or in connection with a business transaction, subject to applicable requirements. This policy does not claim that information is never processed by third parties.

Retention and deletion

Information is kept as needed to operate ContinuNote and provide the features you use. No fixed retention period is stated during controlled release because one has not been formally documented.

Users can delete individual entries, retained attachments, care history, or their account. Deletion may not be immediate in operational backups or where limited retention is necessary for security, legal, or service-integrity purposes. More specific timing will be published when formally established.

User choices and controls

You can review information before it is saved, choose whether to retain original attachments, edit or delete entries, delete care history or an account, and export your data. Only enter, upload, or share information you are authorized and comfortable providing.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information appropriate to the service and the sensitivity of the information processed. No online service can guarantee absolute security. This policy does not make claims about specific encryption standards, certifications, or regulatory compliance that have not been formally documented.

Protect your sign-in information, use a device you trust, and email support@continunote.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Children

ContinuNote is intended for adult caregivers and family members, not for children to use independently. Do not create an account for a child or enter a child’s information unless you are authorized to do so and the controlled-release service supports that use.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as ContinuNote changes. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when an update is published. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel.
